Game of skill
ClashMasters is a game of skill. The outcome of every contest is determined purely by each player's ability in Clash Royale — card knowledge, deck construction, elixir management, and live decision-making. There is no randomness introduced by ClashMasters, no platform-controlled result, no slot machine, no card draw, no lottery. The same skills that determine ladder outcomes in Clash Royale determine outcomes here.
How matching works
When you tap a tier, you're paired with another player who picked the same entry fee and game mode — Basic 1v1, 3x Elixir, or Draft. We prefer opponents whose Clash Royale trophy count is close to yours so contests feel fair, and we widen the search the longer you wait — so you never sit in the queue forever.
Draft mode is the most skill-pure option: both players build a deck from a random card pool right before the battle, so deck mastery and rare-card collections don't decide the contest. Pick it when you want a fair fight against any opponent.
Private match links bypass matchmaking entirely: a friend you share the link with claims the lobby, and the two of you play regardless of skill difference.
How we verify results
After both players have played their Friendly Battle, ClashMasters reads the result directly from Clash Royale and locates the matching battle by player tags. Crowns scored in that battle decide the contest. Because the result comes from Supercell rather than self-reporting, it cannot be manipulated by either player.
Each contest is locked to the mode you queued for — Basic 1v1, 3x Elixir, or Draft. The verifier only accepts a battle played in that exact mode. If you and your opponent play a different Friendly Battle variant by mistake (Ramp Up, Megadeck, or any other mode), the verifier won't match it, the contest will time out, and both entry fees are refunded in full.
Your Clash Royale friends list
To play a contest you add your opponent as a friend in Clash Royale (that's what the Friend Link is for) — that's the only way to challenge them to a Friendly Battle. Clash Royale lets you keep at most 100 friends. Once your friends list is full, a new opponent can't add you (and you can't add them), so the contest can't be set up — it times out and both entry fees are refunded, but nobody gets to play.
The fix is a one-minute chore: every so often, remove old ClashMasters opponents from your Clash Royale friends list. In Clash Royale: open the Friends tab → tap a friend → Remove. (You can re-add anyone later if you're matched with them again — it's harmless.)
We'll show a heads-up on your dashboard once you're getting close to the limit, but you can clean up any time — and if you ever can't add an opponent, a full friends list is the usual reason.
One person, one account
- Each player may hold only one ClashMasters account.
- Each ClashMasters account must link to a Clash Royale account that belongs to the same person and is not shared with any other ClashMasters user.
- Account sharing, account transfer, and "boosting" services are prohibited.
Prohibited conduct
- Collusion. Coordinating with another player to fix the outcome of a contest, including arranged losses or split-prize agreements.
- Multi-accounting. Operating more than one ClashMasters account, or playing against yourself across two accounts.
- Match-fixing. Intentionally losing a Friendly Battle to transfer prize money, or otherwise manipulating the result independently of skill.
- Tampering. Modifying the Clash Royale client, the ClashMasters site, or any tooling used to play or verify a contest.
- Identity fraud. Linking a Clash Royale account that does not belong to you, or using payment instruments that are not yours.
Consequences
Violations may result in any combination of: forfeiture of the contest in question, suspension or termination of the account, forfeiture of wallet balances obtained through the prohibited conduct, and reporting to relevant authorities or to Supercell where applicable.
Reporting
